Blenheim, located in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, was designed for George Spencer, the 4th Duke of Marlborough.  This is the most famous of all Brown's parks, and also the largest. Blenheim was given to the Duke for his victory over the French, and he chose Brown to provide the landscaping.  Although much has been changed since Brown's landscaping, there is still much of his resemblance, and it is now frequently open to the public.

Brown's landscapes provide an excellent setting                      for Vanbrugh's architecture; seen above is                      Vanbrugh's bridge in Brown's landscape.
